Driving to us?

We have parking directly outside the Spa, however there is a parking charge of 70p per hour (maximum 2hrs) – Free after 6.30pm Monday-Saturday and All day Sunday. The reception team is happy to help customers if they wish for us to re-ticket their vehicles if they are in the salon longer than 2hrs. (this is payable by the customer).

Do you sell Gift Vouchers?

Yes! We sell gift vouchers in Salon, Online or by calling the reception team.

What Products are used at Royal Parade Beauty Spa?

We use the highest quality products to make your experience the best it can be!!

The Beauty department use, Decleor, Carita, Morgan Taylor and Lash perfect.

The Hair department use the renowned L’Oreal and Kerastase.

Do I need a Patch test for any Tint service, even if I've had one elsewhere?

Yes! Even if you have had a patch test elsewhere, we would still need you to complete one here, as all tints used maybe different. For Lash Perfect lashes a glue test is required 24hrs prior to treatment the same as Beauty & Hair Tints.

Do I need Flip-flops for my Pedicure?

We advise bringing flip-flops with you as this gives your nails plenty of drying time, when leaving the Spa.

I would like to start waxing but I have been shaving/using hair removal cream?

The hair should be a minimum of half a centimetre, but the longer you can leave it the better. It can take more than one wax to achieve a smooth result, this is due to some previously shaved hair will be in a resting phase and too short to wax. It will look smooth but may feel a little stubbly until the hair has grown out and waxed.

Do I keep my underwear on when having a Bikini Wax?

We do supply disposable pants or you can keep your own underwear on if you wish, although there maybe a risk of wax or creams getting onto the fabric.

What is the difference between a Bikini Line, Brazilian and Hollywood waxing?

A bikini wax is the hair removed outside of your knicker line.
A Brazilian is a strip down the centre left, and all around and underneath removed
A Hollywood wax is all hair removed.

Can I have a Facial after Botox/Fillers?

We recommend leaving a minimum of two weeks after your Botox or filler treatment before having a facial.

Can I have treatments while Pregnant?

Yes,you can have most treatments. however we would recommend that for some treatments you will need to be over 3 months (first trimester). While waxing please be aware your skin maybe more sensitive during waxing.

Do men have treatments?

Yes! We provide a variety of treatments for men. Please see our treatment page via our website or feel free to speak to one of the team.

Do I need to make an appointment with the Barbers?

No, it’s not necessary to book an appointment as we are happy for you to just pop in, however if you prefer to book you may do so by calling our direct number.

Can I book Online?

Yes, you can book online for Beauty treatments, Hair appointments and the barbers via our website, but if you would rather speak to one of our reception team they will be happy to help.

As a birthday treat I booked myself in for a luxury facial together with a specialised eye treatment. As I thought I deserved the full works, I also booked waxing followed by a luxury manicure and pampering luxury pedicure. Pure and utter BLISS! [Except for the waxing, which, lets face it is not exactly a 'blissful' treat, more a necessity.] As a returning customer I was aware that the Salon's specialised facials include a relaxing hand and/or foot massage (depending on the treatment/time), but they always begin with a gentle and astonishing foot/back alignment pull, followed by a relaxing shoulder and upper back massage. Lovely complementary inclusions, not offered at other Salons I have frequently in the past, but visit no more. My Therapist was well-groomed, genial and courteous. All in all, an all-round pleasurable experience and one I cannot recommend highly enough. I will definitely be booking again.

Adding serum to oily skin seems counter intuitive – but, far from exacerbating the problem, the right blend can work wonders” I was told by my Therapist. She then went on to give me examples but, if I’m truthful I can only remember the one I could relate to, being “ylang ylang helps regulate sebum”. She then went on to explain something quite simple but will stay with me for a long time and that was to think of facial serums as the ‘food’ for skin and moisturisers the ‘water’. Skin needs both to keep it soft and supple, so it made sense when my Therapist demonstrated how to apply the serum: applying the oil to three fingers of one hand by placing the tip of a finger as a plug and tripping the bottle up quickly; quickly rubbing the tips of the corresponding fingers of each hand together; tapping the fingers over the face, then gently massaging in. She then followed this with a moisturiser, which I was told, acts like a protective seal. I was told to apply cautiously, only using as much serum as your skin needs – usually three or four small drops is enough. It should sink in quickly, so is your skin looks greasy ten minutes later, you’ve used too much.

I have been a regular client of the Royal Parade Beauty Spa for many years now, seeing the change of ownership and witnessing the exciting changes that have been implemented since. It has been a real pleasure watching the new owners grow the business, seeing the positivity and new life they have injected into the Spa. The things I love most about The Royal Parade is that you’re always welcomed with a warm friendly smile accompanied with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. After every treatment I always leave feeling well pampered and cared for. The treatments are always carried out to a very high standard, all the therapists are amazing, I don’t mind which one I have! All the therapists are very thorough with their consultations; I really do feel that they are listening to my concerns and requirements.
